About the Webmistress

Hello fellow Vivien Leigh fans. I'm Kayla Elizabeth, the webmistress of Vivien Leigh Online. I just thought you would all like to know a little bit about me, so here is me. I am currently 18 years old and living in Walt Disney World, Florida. Yes, I do actually live in Disney World, no not in a fancy resort. I live in a town that Disney built called Celebration. You can easily find it on a search engine if you are interested. Moving on, I am a freshman in community college. I am studying psychology and art. I hope to become a clinical therapist one day and work with eating disorder patients, since I have been one myself. I have had an eating disorder for a very long time. Luckily, I am in recovery and proud of it.

Aside from my love of classic movies, vintage things, and web design, I am very big reader and writer. I guess more of a reader then a writer, but I do write. Mostly short stories, but nothing that has been published or that I have really shared with anyone. Reading-wise, I love biographies the most, I think. I love learning about different people and their lives. Not just actors and actresses, but also people who struggle with different addictions and also people who went through the Holocaust. My favorite biographies have to be Wasted by Marya Hornbacher and The Diary of Anne Frank. Some of my favorite novels include The Lucky Bones, Alias Grace, and My Sister's Keeper.

Now a days I don't really watch a lot of current television, just reruns of shows that no longer air. My personal favorites are Alias, The Sopranos, Gilmore Girls, and That 70's Show. I basically have these all on DVD and when I am doing homework or something, I will pop one in instead of turning on the television to like Oprah or something. Or when I don't feel like watching something I will usually put my iPod on. I really do not have a specific genre I listen to, I basically like whatever catches my ears. Songs on my iPod vary from Johnny Cash to Aerosmith to Beethoven.

One of the biggest loves in my life is my baby Gizmo. He is my five year old Shih Tzu that I love to death. I also have four other dogs: Louie (Shih Tzu), Jasper (Maltese), Rocky (Jack Russell), and Rudy (Poodle). Rudy actually is my Grandparents dog, but I still consider him one of mine since when they got him I was basically living with them and took care of him when he was, erm... sort of a puppy (Long story).

Anyway, I guess that is about it. If you want to know more, feel free to just ask!
